Returning to campus housing next year? The Housing Renewal Process is your chance to secure your space for 2025-2026!

Key Dates & Deadlines

📅 December 1 – Returner Application Opens (Apply HERE)
📅 February 1 – Priority Deadline for Current Residents
📅 March 3-7 – Reclaim Your Current Space (if approved)
📅 March 17-21 – Select a New Space (if you’re moving)

Your Housing Renewal Options

✅ Want to stay in your same space? Reclaim your current assignment during the Reclaim Period (March 3-7) in the Housing Portal. Unclaimed spaces will be released for others to select. (This is especially important for apartment residents!) Click for a video tutorial!

🔄 Looking for a change? Participate in Housing Selection (March 17-21) to pick a new space. Time slots will be assigned via lottery in early March. Click for a video tutorial!

⚠️ Not planning to live on campus? You must submit a before March 3 to avoid penalties.

Important Next Steps

  • Housing contracts are legally binding for an academic year (residence halls) or calendar year (apartments)—this is not just a reservation, it’s a commitment!
  • No $150 application fee for current residents.
  • Roommate groups must be created before March 1 to reclaim or select together. Click for a tutorial!
  • Students must be enrolled by May 1 for Fall 2025 to maintain their housing assignment (international students are the only exception).
  • Applications submitted after February 1 will be automatically assigned in May and throughout the summer based on availability.

Special Placement Groups

Athletes – You do not need to reclaim or select a space. Housing & Residence Life will place you March 10-14 based on athletic scholarship requirements. Your coach will discuss your placement with you directly.

Students with Approved Medical Accommodations – You do not need to reclaim or select a space. Housing & Residence Life will place you March 10-14 based on your approved accommodations.

Apartment Open Houses will be available March 10-14 for anyone interested in checking them out before selecting.
